A legend never dies

Contrary to how negative his actions might be interperted, I do not feel any wrong with what Skipper Zinedine Zidane did. For a man of his nature, Materazzi must have said dome very nasty, unhearable things to Zizzou. You know some Italians have a reputation for spewing out garbage from their mouth. A typical example is Silvio Berlusconi.
They are loose orally.
I only blame Zizzou for putting his bald head close to Materazzi's heart. HE SHOULD HAVE FOCUSED ON HIS HEAD, BUTT THE GUY IN THE NOSE SO HE WON'T FORGET FOREVER!
Whatever happened, Zizzou has not fallen short of being a legend. And he remains one

But Tony, losing his cool means that Zidane lacks the self-control of a disciplined professional.
And demonstrating his dangerous short temper to the whole world is quite embarrassing!

I was disappointed.

God bless.

Oriki you are only viewing things from one perspective. Why not say that Materazzi lacks self-control for insulting Zizzou's mother? You do know that words have more damaging strength than fists and headbutts.
Left to the referee to judge, those guys would have dislocated Zizzou's right arm and made him one-armed for the rest of his retirement and nothing would happen.
It's the same Italians that booted out Amokachi & Amunike in USA 94 & they only got yellow cards for that.
Let an African do that, no matter what country he plays for, and see if he won't be given two red cards at once.
If Zidane had reported to the referee what he said, would anything have been done?
When the referee cannot protect players on the field, na dat king thing dey happen.
Dem get luck say no be Warri dem play that world cup finals. We for put pepper for dem yansh.

Zizzou has nothing to lose again. He's done all he wanted to do.

I so agree with Orikinla. Just cos he was a good player, that doesnt cover up the damages he's done to his own reputation.

Mehn, I feel you. Zidane's actions doesn't take away from who he is to me at all. Everyone has his limits. No matter how disciplined or how high your self-control is and usually, you don't care where u are when you get to that limit. You just f*&^&* blow up.

But I felt really sad for the guy at the same time. He himself knew he had done something terrible immediately he did it. But like I said, Zidane is one of the best players to me and He will always be that and nothing else to me.
