Royal rumble

It's stale news that the President of my country is at loggerheads with his deputy.

This imbroglio is heating up and as journalists have said, 'body bags count will start'.
I don't see any strange thing in this struggle because these two people are from different worlds, only brought together by similar desires - the quest for power. So it's bound to happen. But as Pirelli will put it, 'Power is nothing without control'. Some have asked Mr. Atiku to stepdown. I laugh at them. It's as if people don't know what these people are at loggerheads for.Is it not this same power that Atiku wants more of? How do you expect him to drop the one he has when he wants more. If permitted, these people will die there. So I won't be surprised if Mr. COJA(won ti kowo wa ja - according to Eedris) refuses to step down.Deep down within me, I know Mr. Obasanjo will go by 2007, the only thing there is that he wants to scare away some greedy people from ascending the throne.Only one song do I have for Baba Iyabo;Be careful, 'cos this life is full of sorrowsWatch the company you keep and the friends you followbecause ****talking gibberish****Eni to mo eniyan lo n pa eniyanNothing stays the same,As you lay your bed, na so you go lie on top am.
Don't mind Audu Ogbe & Atiku.

If na only one, no be three say I
No go fit stand alone na lie......Iro ma ni won n pa.

Tell them that you can do it all alone............to Ota farm though :D

*******Sorry I didn't get a picture of two white sheep but black ones, I could only lay my hand on this one.****

How then do you explain moves to amend the 1999 constitution at this point in time, with empahasis on an extension of the presidential tenure of office?

How also do you explain that despite the fact the Mr. Obasanjo has been asked several times if he intends remaining in office beyond 2007, he has consistently failed to answer the question. Rather he talks of economic reforms, ongoing projects and a God.

There appear to be some who think that the constituional amendemnt is not meant for Mr. Obasanjo but for his successor (a sort of ploy to get the right successor who would continue with the reforms). I disagree as there is no evidence for this.

From all indications, if Obasanjo leaves office by 2007, it will be because he was forced to. With the heated up polity, it appears that attempts by Obasanjo to stay beyond 2007 would be disastrous.

Already, one sees a governemnt that is hell scared of opposition. There is currently a de-facto martial law in Nigeria against any opposition to the 3rd term—a publication by an academic has been sezied, public meetings have been prevented, financiers have been charged. These strongly remind one of the dark and glommy days of the Abacha era.

Good cartoon for the black goats at loggerheads.

Atiku thinks he can fool Nigerians that he is against the third term bid of Obasanjo. If Obasanjo must go, Atiku must also go. Both of them are guilty.

Happy Easter and God bless.
