Sege in control

It's been a sad week for some peeps. Stella Obasanjo has just beeen buried. One very funny thing about it is that BBC dedicated a page to tell people about her burial, on that same page they wrote at the buttom that Stella was also implicated in a corruption scandal. HABA! You white people need to understand the black man's culture. You don't talk evil about the dead, no matter how grievious their offences. Else, her ghost will hunt Bush house forever!!. So you Oyinbos, be very careful.

Another funny thing is that the people at Lissa village where there was a plane crash suddenly jolted to life and started making money from the influx of people. They even went about scavenging for personals that weren't destroyed from the crash. Imagine! Some ritualists even went there TO PICK BODY PARTS!!! Some peeps can't just stop being wackos.
Something strange is going on in my head. Somebody suddenly loaded Tracy Chapman's entire music in my brain & it just went on & on.
Her music flooded the entire hall in my head. Paper & ink, revolution, telling stories, unsung psalms.......the tracks just kept on playing as I went by the day's work. At least that could ease the tension ard. It was like having a windows media centre with surround sound and harman Kaddon speakers. It was then i realised that music is truly a reliever of pains.

To those who think Uncle Sege has no human feeling & a stone heart (though I never believed that), at least you saw otherwise when he broke in tears during Stella's burial. He's human like everyone else u know.
Uncle Sege is trouncing those that cross his path like Chelsea. He maintains an unbeaten record throughout his tenure.
From Tinubu (whose eyes almost fell off in the tussle) to Orji Uzo Kalu, to Chuba Okadigbo, Na'aba, Masari, NLC....who else....and it's coming back to Orji Kalu to pick up his prize for the second time (D guy no dey learn). He has already said when he's retiring to Otta after his tenure, some peeps will be marching to the prison. So long.

Buried in work

Hello. Is anyone there? I seem to be stuck in a work that's giving me little for all my efforts, so I decided to share it amongst my peeps.
I received a Toshiba Qosmio F15 AV (it's da bomb men!!) whose external remote control doesn't work, neither does it control the Media Centre. Though the remote control receiver shows an LED light on when the remote keypad is pressed, nothing happens afterwards. I checked the control panel and there's no queried driver there. What do I do?
No blog for una unless una do something oh!!

I also made a post up at geekzone. U can check it out.

Sit back 'n' relax

I couldn't help easing off a hard week with a couple of movies. I find Cinderella man very interesting and inspiring. Finding nemo, though seems like children's movie, is also nice. But I really enjoyed Seabiscuit & Phone Boothe. I know that movie will definitely not get an Osar, cos it's too interesting and educative to qualify for one.
Those guys doing piracy are not really doing their jobs very well. Only a few of those blockbusters and bestsellers eventually get to the market here, whereas there are many nice movies which are not brought in. Who asked them to dubb Meet the Fockers or Monster-in-Law? It's just a waste of CDs.
Where is Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind for heaven's sake?!
I'll be glad if anyone can tell me where I could pick them up.

Went through my normal routine: BBC Technology, Bill Thompson's blog, etc.

I stumbled on a list of things I would love to do written about 2 yrs ago. Though the seemed then to be very hard to accomplish, I was amazed 80% of them were accomplished. All praises be to the Almighty God. Then I start thinking about the things I wish I could do if given the opportunity. Though it's late planning to be there, I wish I could make it to the World summit on information (WSIS). I wonder if local media could do a coverage of it.

If anyone knows how to get spam protector, please help me out. I got some bugs sucking.

At half mast

Yes it's very sad. Stella Obasanjo and 117 other people did not see the light of day on the first working day of the week. The nation mourns. Three days of mourning have been declared for them all. I stop to say a short prayer for their bereaved families.
One thing is evidently strange about life, and that is the fact that no matter who it is that dies, life goes on. Except for the families of those who lost their lives, everyone is back to his/her normal business. So much for national mourning.
I was almost closely affected. My Sunshine's brother-in-law was supposed to be on that flight but he forgot his file in the office. According to him, his mission in Abuja will be useless if he doesn't take his file with him. So he had to rush to the office to get it. Thus, he missed the flight. He also missed the death. His family and I together missed years of mourning and crying. Glory be to the Almighty God.
So please my loved ones, as much as you have the capability, try and stay alive. 'Cos if you're dead, that's the end.
The main things that shows that the nation is mourning are various flags flying at half mast at various posts. Otherwise, life goes on.

Microwave lifestyle

Uhh!! It's been a very busy week. I couldn't even update my diary. If it's not the unending workflow, it's a colleague who thinks he's so old that he's older than any young looking guy. I just get pissed when he brings the issue up. Can't people just respect others the way they are without wanting to know if they're older or younger? I could solve the problem at once, but I don't wanna upset his thoughts and expectations by letting him know that the fact that I look young doesn't mean that I'm younger than him.So much for him!
The microwave week ended with vigil in church and boy how charged was I! I just discovered one new thing in life - whoever is not from here has enough to share with you about the other side. I had some chat with a colleague who just came in from another similar body and he's got a truck-load of inspiring instances. And I'm strung up to stand to my feet.

Vacancy for enthusiastic business people

This business has a business startup amount of $0 and profit turnover of as much as millions of dollars depending on the acumen possessed by the businessperson.
Most preferrable would be an Ibo businessman (importer/exporter, general merchants) because of their notoriety in importing virtually anything from cars to clothes, to T.Vs, electronic gadgets, and anything movablle you can think of on the surface of the earth.

Katrina has visited and gone back home. Some have been dejected by the destruction of their properties. The government is looking for a way of quickly disposing the gigantic mass of garbage from the streets. Thousands of miles away, some will soon be smiling by the influx of very affordable gadgets and materials once thought to be luxury items. Trust Africans, they will rush to buy items that go for very small amounts, though they might not be needed.
The size of these items seem to be another form of debt relief. It's gonna be another smile from the gods who have seen the 'hostilities' in the economies and have decided to ease tensions.

Fallouts from Katrina's visit, later luxury for some

So if you know any businessperson, especially our brothers from that side (Ndigbo kwenu), tell dem say container dey wait for dem for New Orleans oh! The cost price is $0.
Lest I forget, admission is on 1st come, 1st serve basis.

The power of Love 2

I cannot but share what my eyes have seen and my ears heard in the past few days over the matter of 'love me I love you'.
We suddenly find a beautiful chic coming around my crib some months ago & I'm like 'who owns this straying bird before we capture am?'. It happens to be my neighbour who then just beat his girlfriend away . I asked myself what a nice chic like this be doing with this kind'a guy, considering the manner with which her predecessor was shown the door. Their love 'became stronger' as it's usually said until recently.
One thing about me is that I have the gift of seeing no evil and hearing none. I'm always not around when something dramatic happens -pity me! I was in the office that nite when it was said that noise erupted from the guy's apartment. The fighting was so serious with rages of cursings that people had to (not because they wanted to but to put an end to whatever was preventing them from having a nice peaceful sleep) leave their houses to check out what it was. She had to be rescued from the battle-ready hand of this dark, hefty guy.
As dem say, she was beaten up so much that her eyeballs couldn't be seen on her face which had swollen islands here and there. The fact that he hadn't married her did not even restrain him from using her to practise punching.
Stupid enough (as expected of some babes), she was seen hovering around his apartment the next morning. A man beat you into pulp and the only thing you can do is to stay in the house with the guy?!
One good question I wanna ask our ladies today is about what they understand as love. Can you say you love a guy who will continue to pound you until you lose your consciousness?
Is it true that people will change over time, so therefore we continue bearing their shitty heads?
If a cool, gentle guy walks up to that kind of babe, she would complain that he's too quiet for her liking. Most ladies (from statistics gathered only by men) like men who are heavily built and stout. These stout men in return need things they can train with to keep their structures intact.
When I saw her this evening, she looked like Bono in her dark shades. I didn't know whether to feel sorry for her or to detest her stupidity.
Could this be love?

The beginning of an era

Thank God it's eventually possible. I now have a personal blog just about moi.
I'm a continue running the other site without stopping.
I got a big inspiration from Akinwale and Nneka. Sometimes people don't know how much inspiration they bring to others.
I'm chatting with my girlfriend, so it's quite hard to sum up something.
I'll make more posts in some minutes.
